Job Summary: 

The Logistic Officer is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all aspects of logistics operations, including procurement, inventory management, transportation, and distribution. They ensure that goods and materials are delivered to the right location on time and in the most cost-effective manner while maintaining quality standards and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities:

1. Evaluate supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality standards.


2. Coordinate transportation logistics, including scheduling and tracking shipments.


3. Arrange for the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods from suppliers to warehouses or distribution centers


4. Liaise with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure timely delivery and compliance with regulations.


5. Oversee the receiving, storing, and dispatching of goods in warehouses or distribution centers.


6. Ensure that warehouses are organized and maintained in a clean and safe manner.


7. Implement best practices for warehouse operations to improve efficiency and minimize errors.


8. Prepare and maintain documentation related to logistics activities, such as shipping documents, customs forms, and compliance records.


9. Ensure compliance with regulations governing transportation, import/export, and hazardous materials handling.


10. Keep abreast of changes in regulations and industry standards to ensure compliance.

Qualifications/Requirements

1. Must be a graduate of any field. 


2. Experience in logistics operations will be an added advantage.


3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.


4. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.


5. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.


6. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.


7. Attention to detail and accuracy.


8. Only candidates who close to Ikeja will be considered.

Remuneration. 

Salary is N80,000 (Gross)
