Job Description
Job Objective:
- Ensure on-time opening of new stores.
- Ensure the construction of new stores at the lowest possible cost and the defined quality level according to the company's Construction Manual.
- To stay ahead of the competition, it is required to apply the principle of economy to the maximum extent
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and approve offers of construction companies for new stores and renovations.
- Review and approve invoices of the construction companies.
- Ensure that quality claims are clarified and processed.
- Decide on the cost of parts and materials construction companies are using.
- Reject construction companies if they are not suitable.
- Advise the Sales Manager and Expansion Manager in regards to layout options.
- Suggest new potential construction companies to the Expansion Manager.
- Supervise constructions in execution, and review compliance with time, budget, and quality.
- Suggest updates to the Construction Manual.
- Constant on-site review of maintenance activities.
- Inform the Expansion Manager in due time about serious risks and failures detected in stores and look for the most adequate solutions.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum B.Sc. Architecture Qualification.
- 5+ years’ work experience as an in-house trained Architect and Project Manager on a Construction site, with hands-on experience with project costing and construction management.
- Knowledge of relevant design policies, international specifications, building regulations, and construction details.
Specialized Knowledge and Abilities
- To think methodically, with Project management skills.
- Exceptional design and conceptual skills, for Retail Architectural Projects.
- Computer Literacy & Software Demands/Proficiency
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Word processing Microsoft Office.
- Project Management MS Project.
