Responsibilities

• Provide complex technical support and advice on aspects of agriculture such as research, production, servicing and marketing


• Provide ready samples for analysis, following appropriate procedures to ensure that they are stored, prepared, and disposed of properly.


• Implement and oversee efficient oil palm cultivation practices, adhering to industry standards and best practices.


• Provide technical guidance and support to plantation workers on various tasks, including planting, pruning, fertilization, and pest control.


• Monitor and assess crop health, identifying potential diseases, pests, and nutrient deficiencies.


• Develop and execute integrated pest management strategies to ensure healthy palm trees and high yields.


• Collaborate with plantation management to plan and implement irrigation systems for optimal water management.


• Conduct soil analysis and make recommendations for soil improvement and nutrient management.


• Assist in the development and execution of crop rotation and intercropping strategies to enhance overall farm productivity.


• Mixes soil, sand, and fertilizers according to specifications; prepares insecticide solutions and operates spray equipment on assigned plots and acreage for insect control.

Requirements
