The Area Sales Manager will drive product sales within the division. Work to expand market reach in electrical and solar products. Manage key clients and generate leads.
Job Responsibilities
Review sales price, to ensure that deviations from the plan are highlighted and corrective measures are taken.
Visit clients’ premises on weekly basis for meetings and update deals to be closed.
Assess local market conditions and identify current and prospective sales opportunities.
Develop and forecast sales plans and financial objectives for the branch while meeting sales targets and metrics.
Locate areas of improvement and propose corrective actions that meet challenges and leverage growth opportunities.
Grow customer segments in distribution, B2B, and other segments.
Share knowledge with other branches and headquarters on effective practices, competitive intelligence, business opportunities and needs.
Develop a sales team to increase revenue.
Address unresolved/complex customer and employee satisfaction issues promptly.
Follow the latest industry developments and stay up to date on company’s competitors’ activities in the territory.
Maintain excellent relationships with clients to generate avenues for further business.
Formulate and develop effective strategies for training, recruitment, management development and succession planning, thus meeting the training need of the Sales team.
Adhere to high ethical standards and comply with all company’s policies and regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
B.Sc. in Business Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
7 - 8 years experience in sales of Solar & Electrical products.
Successful track record in channel sales and negotiation.
Good technical knowledge (solar & electrical products) with a strong sales profile.
