Job Summary


Our client is a pan-African company involved in real estate development, investment, publishing, training and marketing; with a track record of delivering several housing estates through its strategic land investment products. 


The company is looking for an ambitious and outcome-focused Business Development and Sales Manager to help expand its market share, drive its growth efforts across all products in its portfolio. If you have a strong grasp of sales strategy and management, especially within the real estate sector, and have built a track record of leadership, ownership, and excellent relationship management, we would love to hear from you. 


Key Responsibilities 



  • Develop and own the business development and overall growth strategy for the company’s portfolio of products

  • Conduct research and glean insights from sales process to identify new markets and evolving/emerging customer needs

  • Oversight for the promotion of the company’s products/services through several marketing channels

  • Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines

  • Recruit, onboard, train and mentor sales staff as often as required

  • End-to-end management of the sales team, ensuring sufficient reward and motivation to achieve business goals

  • Build and manage mutually rewarding relationships with prospects and existing customers

  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support


Educational Requirements and Experience



  • Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related fields

  • Team management experience

  • Experience driving sales at a mid-management level with verifiable results (Not more than 3 years)


Skills and Competencies



  • Ability to lead and influence people to achieve results

  • Excellent people skills

  • Teachability and adaptability

  • Ability to take ownership for the planning and delivery of results, with little supervision

  • Ability to speak and write clearly and confidently

  • Knowledge of the Nigerian real estate sector is a plus

  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)

  • Ability to start, nurture and close deals

  • Ability to take and act on feedback
