Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with daily finance operations including ensuring on-time disbursement of approved loans and communicating same with all stakeholders through available platforms.
- Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation and settlement of financial transactions within the organization.
- Carry out monthly bank reconciliations for both Disbursement account and designated collections account.
- Daily Spooling and furnishing of stakeholders with bank statements.
- Responsible for key liquidity availability management functions. This includes cash forecasting and cash management processes, liquidity monitoring and funding strategies.
- Analysis of short-term cash needs, providing forecast information and assistance to the Head of Finance regarding Term Deposits and maximizing interest revenue.
- Provide daily liquidity report to the CEO and HOF.
- Preparing and keep custody of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly Interest Income and Interest expenses report.
- Work closely with internal teams, external parties, and financial institutions to reconcile accounts, resolve discrepancies, and facilitate the smooth settlement of transactions.
- Analyze data, identify errors or discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to maintain financial integrity and compliance.
- Liaise with parties (banks and processors) to ensure optimal cost structures and verify daily settlements
- Provide ad hoc financial reporting, other duties and project work as required.
Qualifications / Requirements
- OND / HND in Accounting, Banking/Finance, or any Social Science course
- 1 - 2 years work experience as a reconciliation officer or data analyst
- Self-Stater possessing good analytical skills.
