Job Description
Responsibilities
- Track shipments to ensure timely delivery and provide status updates to relevant departments.
- Process regulatory and shipping documents such asStandards Organization of Nigeria (SON) certificates,Form M, andPAAR documents.
- Coordinate with clearing agents to manage customs clearance and ensure smooth delivery of goods.
- Oversee the receipt of consignments, supervise offloading activities, and reconcile stock records with theAccounts DepartmentandWarehouse Manager.
- Monitor and report consignment costs, presenting detailed breakdowns to theAccounts Department.
Container and Refund Management:
- Track the return of empty containers to the port to avoid penalties.
- Process refunds related to shipping or terminal fees and maintain proper records.
- ReceiveExchange Control Documents (ECD)from clearing agents and update theBanking USD FX Table.
Local Procurement:
- Source and procure essential items, includingcartonsandLPG gas, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Maintain strong relationships with local suppliers and negotiate favorable terms.
Communication and Documentation:
- Write and respond to emails promptly, maintaining professional communication with stakeholders.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of all logistics and procurement activities.
- Communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and external partners to streamline operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Logistics, Procurement, or a related field.
- Knowledge of Nigerian customs and shipping regulations.
- Odoo user
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel.
