Job Summary




  • Ensure the safety and security of the hotel premises, guests, staff, and assets by maintaining a visible and vigilant security presence.

  • Prevent, detect, and respond to security threats or emergencies while upholding the highest safety standards.



Key Roles & Responsibilities



Access Control:




  • Monitor and control entry and exit points for guests, staff, and visitors.

  • Verify identification, issue visitor passes, and maintain security logs.



Surveillance and Monitoring:




  • Conduct regular patrols of the property, including guest areas, back-of-house, and parking lots.

  • Monitor security cameras (CCTV) and respond to unusual activities.



Incident Response:




  • Respond promptly to emergencies, including fire alarms, medical situations, and security breaches.

  • Report incidents accurately and prepare detailed incident reports.



Loss Prevention:




  • Prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access by maintaining a strong security presence.

  • Conduct bag checks and investigate suspicious behavior when necessary.



Conflict Resolution:




  • Handle disputes, altercations, or disturbances professionally and de-escalate situations.

  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required.



Health and Safety Compliance:




  • Enforce health and safety regulations, including fire and emergency protocols.

  • Conduct regular safety checks and ensure firefighting equipment is in good condition.



Guest Assistance:




  • Assist guests with directions, inquiries, and safety-related concerns.

  • Provide a secure environment while maintaining a professional and approachable demeanor.



Staff Support:




  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.

  • Escort staff handling cash or valuable assets when needed.



Documentation and Reporting:




  • Maintain accurate records of daily security operations, including patrol logs and incident reports.

  • Submit timely reports to management on security-related matters.



Other Duties:




  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management to enhance overall safety and security.



Requirements




  • Candidates should possess an OND qualification with 1 - 5 years experience.
