Job Summary:
The candidate will be responsible for supporting financial operations and decision-making through accurate financial analysis, reporting, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of financial statements in compliance with IFRSs and GAAPs
- Preparation of Weekly/Monthly Management Reports
- Posting of transactions into the Accounting Software
- Handle banking transactions and carry out weekly/monthly reconciliation of bank statements.
- Preparation and maintenance of the Company’s Fixed asset register
- Have a sound working knowledge of the Nigerian Tax system and handle all statutory remittances for the Company e.g., PAYE, WHT & VAT
- Auditors’ engagement for annual/Interim Audit.
- Preparation of annual budgets
- Other related duties
Skills:
- Very strong analytical and numeric skills
- Intermediate to an advanced working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong written and oral communication
- Proactive and requires limited supervision.
- Good Presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- 5-7 years of hands-on, post-NYSC work experience in accounting, and financial reporting from medium to large-sized organizations (preferably from investment and asset management companies).
- Hands-on experience at all the aspects of tasks in a typical Finance department. Not just a lot of experience in a limited area.
