Job Summary




  • The Head of Practice will be responsible for leading and overseeing the agency, valuation and property management department within the organization. This includes managing teams, developing and executing business strategies, driving operational performance, and ensuring the growth and profitability of the real estate portfolio.

  • The role requires a strong strategic mindset, leadership skills, and deep knowledge of the real estate industry.



Job Description




  • The Head of Practice is an executive role focused on guiding the organization’s efforts.

  • He/She will collaborate with other departments, senior management, and clients to deliver exceptional real estate strategies and services.

  • The role will involve leadership in acquisitions, property developments, property management, transactions, and client relationships.



Responsibilities




  • Lead the strategic direction for the Estate Surveying and valuation practice, aligning with the overall business objectives.

  • Develop and implement short-term and long-term real estate strategies, including valuation, investments, acquisitions, sales, leasing, and management.

  • Oversee the performance of the real estate portfolio and ensure it aligns with the company's goals for growth and profitability.

  • Supervise and mentor a team of real estate professionals, including managers, analysts, and operational staff.

  • Manage key relationships with clients, stakeholders, contractors, and other third-party vendors.

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify new opportunities and trends in the real estate industry.

  • Negotiate, structure, and close high-value deals, including valuation enlistment, acquisitions, lease agreements, and property sales.

  • Provide insights to senior management regarding industry trends, risks, and opportunities.

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to real estate transactions, development, and property management.

  • Prepare and present reports, budgets, and forecasts to senior leadership.

  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and innovations in real estate management.



Educational Qualification




  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent in Estate Management and Valuation.



Experience:




  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Estate surveying and valuation practice.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing large real estate portfolios, projects, or teams.

  • Experience in Property Valuation, property management, and Agency .

  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, budgeting, and profitability analysis.

  • Experience with market research and forecasting trends in real estate.



Skills:




  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage cross-functional collaboration.

  • Excellent strategic thinking and decision-making abilities.

  • Deep knowledge of real estate markets, trends, and investment opportunities.

  • Advanced negotiation and deal-closing capabilities.

  • Proficient in real estate financial analysis, valuation, and investment modeling.

  • Expertise in property law, land-use regulations, and compliance.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to manage and mitigate risks associated with real estate transactions and projects.

  • Proficient with real estate management software, CRM systems, and financial tools.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and vendors.



Requirements:




  • Ability to travel as needed to oversee projects or attend meetings.

  • Willingness to work extended hours to meet deadlines or manage urgent matters.

  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.

Remuneration




  • Salary: N3,000,000 - N3,600,000 / Annum

  • Bonus potential based on performance and achievement of targets.
