Role Purpose:
The overarching objective of this assessment is to identify and evaluate pathways for youth (both young women and men) to secure decent, sustainable, and profitable income-generating or employment opportunities in peri-urban and urban areas. This will focus on the following Local Government Areas (LGAs): Tudun Wada, Rimin Gado, Kumbotso, Nasarawa, and Gwale of Kano state, Babura, Gwaram, and Kafin Hausa of Jigawa State and Gwadabawa, Bodinga, Tambuwal, and Sokoto North of Sokoto state.
Scope of Work:
The geographic focus of the assessment will be in the following Local Government Areas (LGAs): Kano (Tudun Wada, Rimin Gado, Kumbotso, Nasarawa, and Gwale), Jigawa (Babura, Gwaram, and Kafin Hausa), and Sokoto (Gwadabawa, Bodinga, Tambuwal, and Sokoto North). The primary target groups for this assessment will include youth (young women and men) seeking employment or income-generating opportunities, local businesses and vocational training providers, as well as government stakeholders and civil society organizations involved in youth development and education
