We are seeking an Inventory Manager to take charge of our inventory management system.
This critical role will ensure our stock levels are optimized, ensuring a seamless supply chain and avoiding overstock or stockouts.
The Inventory Manager works closely with purchasing, sales, and warehouse teams to optimize inventory levels, minimize waste, and ensure that products are available when needed.
Job Description
Oversee daily inventory operations, including receiving, storing, tracking, and issuing inventory.
Regularly monitor stock levels to ensure the right amount of product is available for production or sales, preventing stock outs or overstocking.
Work with the procurement team to forecast inventory needs, place orders, and maintain optimal stock levels based on demand trends, historical data, and sales forecasts.
Implement and enforce inventory control procedures, including conducting physical counts, managing discrepancies, and maintaining accurate records.
Supervise inventory storage and organization within the warehouse or storage area to ensure efficient space utilization and easy access to products.
Prepare regular inventory reports, including stock levels, stock turnover, and order trends.
Analyze data to identify opportunities for cost savings, inventory reduction, or operational improvements.
Ensure that inventory is properly stored, handled, and maintained according to company policies and safety standards.
Address and resolve inventory issues related to damaged or expired products.
Work closely with other departments (sales, purchasing, logistics) to ensure smooth inventory flow and support business needs.
Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations and policies related to inventory management, including health and safety, quality standards, and audits.
Requirements
B.sc / BA in Business Administration, Logistics or any related field.
5 years proven experience in inventory management or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Inventory Manager or similar role
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
Proficiency with inventory management software and tools (ERP)
Proficiency in the use of spreadsheet and Microsoft Excel.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
Knowledge of supply chain management principles.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Familiarity with warehouse and distribution operations is a plus.
