Job Summary




  • We are seeking an Inventory Manager to take charge of our inventory management system.

  • This critical role will ensure our stock levels are optimized, ensuring a seamless supply chain and avoiding overstock or stockouts.

  • The Inventory Manager works closely with purchasing, sales, and warehouse teams to optimize inventory levels, minimize waste, and ensure that products are available when needed.



Job Description




  • Oversee daily inventory operations, including receiving, storing, tracking, and issuing inventory.

  • Regularly monitor stock levels to ensure the right amount of product is available for production or sales, preventing stock outs or overstocking.

  • Work with the procurement team to forecast inventory needs, place orders, and maintain optimal stock levels based on demand trends, historical data, and sales forecasts.

  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures, including conducting physical counts, managing discrepancies, and maintaining accurate records.

  • Supervise inventory storage and organization within the warehouse or storage area to ensure efficient space utilization and easy access to products.

  • Prepare regular inventory reports, including stock levels, stock turnover, and order trends.

  • Analyze data to identify opportunities for cost savings, inventory reduction, or operational improvements.

  • Ensure that inventory is properly stored, handled, and maintained according to company policies and safety standards.

  • Address and resolve inventory issues related to damaged or expired products.

  • Work closely with other departments (sales, purchasing, logistics) to ensure smooth inventory flow and support business needs.

  • Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations and policies related to inventory management, including health and safety, quality standards, and audits.



Requirements




  • B.sc / BA in Business Administration, Logistics or any related field.

  • 5 years proven experience in inventory management or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Inventory Manager or similar role

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.

  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.

  • Proficiency with inventory management software and tools (ERP)

  • Proficiency in the use of spreadsheet and Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

  • Knowledge of supply chain management principles.

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Familiarity with warehouse and distribution operations is a plus.
