We are seeking a professional and well-organized Protocol Officer to join our team.
As a Protocol Officer, your main duty will be to facilitate communication and foster positive relationships between our organization and government bodies, international organizations, and other external parties.
Responsibilities include coordinating diplomatic activities, overseeing travel arrangements, and organizing events.
Our ideal candidate has a deep understanding of diplomatic protocol, strong communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining high attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Manage and facilitate diplomatic relations and handle matters of protocol
- Organize, coordinate and manage events such as official lunches, dinners, receptions, and meetings
- Assist in the preparation of itineraries and briefings for official visits
- Coordinate travel arrangements including transportation, accommodations, and visas
- Maintain an accurate database of contacts and address lists
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Protocol Officer or similar role within a diplomatic, governmental, or international organization
- Excellent knowledge of diplomatic protocol and etiquette
- Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle stress and remain calm in difficult situations
- High degree of professionalism and discretion
- Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Public Administration, or relevant field
- Ensure all protocol procedures are adhered to in all official functions
- Provide advice on etiquette and protocol standards when dealing with international guests
