  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Billing Officer to join our team in Warri

  • The Billing Officer will be responsible for preparing and issuing accurate bills, managing patient accounts, and ensuring seamless billing operations in compliance with hospital policies and procedures.



Key Responsibilities




  • Prepare and issue accurate bills to patients for services rendered.

  • Verify and process insurance claims, ensuring proper documentation.

  • Reconcile patient accounts and address discrepancies promptly.

  • Assist patients with payment processing, including cash, credit, and insurance payments.

  • Ensure timely posting of payments and balances in the hospital’s financial system.

  • Maintain detailed and organized records of all billing activities.

  • Generate and provide financial reports to the management team as required.

  • Respond to patient inquiries regarding billing issues and resolve disputes professionally.

  • Educate patients on billing procedures and payment policies.

  • Ensure compliance with hospital billing policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate with the finance department to ensure accurate reporting.



Qualifications and Skills




  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a billing role, preferably in the healthcare sector.



Skills:




  • Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Knowledge of healthcare billing practices and insurance processes is an advantage.
