Position Overview




  • The Account Officer for a luxury hair brand will assist the Head Accountant in managing financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting financial planning and decision-making.

  • Additionally, the role includes updating and maintaining financial and product-related information on the company website, ensuring accuracy and alignment with brand standards.



Key Responsibilities

Financial Management Support:




  • Assist the Head Accountant in preparing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.

  • Assist in reconcilingbank statements, monitor cash flow, and manage accounts payable/receivable.

  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, expenses, and payments.



Record Keeping and Compliance:




  • Maintain detailed and organized financial records.

  • Support audits by providing accurate and timely documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations specific to the beauty and luxury goods industry.



Website Updates and Maintenance:




  • Update product prices, promotions, and inventory details on the company website.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure product descriptions and visuals are aligned with financial records.

  • Monitor website transactions to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies with sales data.



Collaboration and Reporting:




  • Work closely with the Head Accountant to provide insights for decision-making.

  • Provide support to the sales and marketing teams with financial data analysis for campaigns.

  • Prepare weekly and monthly financial summaries for internal review.



Qualifications and SkillsEducational Background:




  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.



Technical Skills:




  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and website management tools (e.g., WordPress, Shopify).

  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting and basic web analytics.



Industry Knowledge:




  • Familiarity with luxury retail or the beauty industry is highly desirable.



Personal Attributes:




  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to maintain vendor and client relationships.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced luxury brand environment.
