Job Summary



The Investment Lead will manage and oversee a quarterly investment budget assigned, ensuring targets are met or exceeded through strategic planning, execution, and team development. This role involves leading a small but dynamic team of two members, driving recruitment efforts to build a high-performing unit, and leveraging cross-functional collaboration to enhance investment growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, analytical, and execution skills to contribute to the organization’s investment objectives.



Job Details



Strategic Planning & Execution:




  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve the team’s quarterly budget, ensuring alignment with overall investment goals.

  • Identify growth opportunities through retail and institutional investments while driving innovative solutions to attract and retain investors.

  • Monitor market trends to adapt strategies, staying competitive within the Nigerian financial services landscape.



Team Leadership & Development:




  • Recruit, onboard, and mentor team members to build a competent and motivated unit capable of achieving set targets.

  • Provide clear goals, performance expectations, and support to the team to drive engagement and productivity.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.



Investment Growth & Product Development:




  • Oversee the development and execution of investment products and campaigns to attract high-value and retail investors.

  • Collaborate with the head of investment, marketing and sales teams to create targeted campaigns for customer acquisition and retention.



Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration:




  • Work with the Head of Investment and other departments to align team efforts with organizational goals.

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including high-net-worth clients and corporate investors.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and pursue synergies across other financial services products.



Performance Monitoring & Reporting:




  • Track team performance metrics, including fund mobilization, customer acquisition, and portfolio growth.

  • Provide regular progress updates and actionable insights to the Head of Investment.



Requirements




  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in investment management, financial services, or related fields.

  • Demonstrated ability to achieve financial targets and manage investment portfolios.

  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing small teams.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data-driven decision-making and reporting.
