Job Summary



The Head of Payment will lead the strategic execution and growth of Credit Direct’s payment services, including digital wallets, bill payment, and transfer solutions, targeting fintech partners and merchant aggregator platforms. This role will focus on achieving the active wallets targets for 2025 while increasing transactional activity across existing and new customer bases. The ideal candidate will bring innovative strategies to cross-sell payment services to users of other Credit Direct products and build seamless winning payment solutions.



Job Details



Strategic Leadership:




  • Develop and execute the Embedded Payment strategy to achieve the annual goal for active wallets.

  • Lead initiatives to integrate payment services into other Credit Direct products.

  • Collaborate with fintech’s, merchant aggregators, and internal teams to create value-driven partnerships and scale adoption.



Product Growth & Innovation:




  • Design and implement customer-focused payment features in collaboration with product and tech to drive wallet adoption.

  • Oversee the rollout of streamlined payment processes for merchant collections and staff payroll.

  • Ensure user-friendly payment solutions with seamless onboarding and transaction experiences.



Channel Development & Cross-Selling:




  • Leverage Credit Direct’s existing customer base and newly onboarded users from lending and investment services to adopt payment offerings.

  • Work with the sales team, affiliates, and growth managers to promote wallet usage among loan and BNPL customers, merchant staff, and affiliates.

  • Collaborate with marketing teams to design targeted campaigns for driving payment service awareness and engagement.



Partnership & Ecosystem Management:




  • Build and nurture partnerships with fintech’s and merchant platforms to expand wallet reach and transaction volumes.

  • In collaboration with marketing, create co-branded campaigns and integrations that promote wallet use within partner ecosystems.



Operational Excellence:




  • Oversee the deployment and optimization of wallet systems, ensuring smooth functionality and reliability.

  • Identify and mitigate potential risks related to wallet adoption, transactional activity, and system integrations.

  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure system updates and robust customer support.



Performance Monitoring & Reporting:




  • Track and analyze key metrics, including active wallet numbers, transaction volumes, and retention rates.

  • Provide regular updates to the Embedded Finance Lead, highlighting progress, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.



Requirements




  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree is an advantage).

  • 8+ years of experience in payments, digital banking, or fintech solutions, with leadership roles in wallet and payment product management.

  • Proven track record of driving payment service adoption and transaction growth.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to leverage data for decision-making.

  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute operational plans effectively.
