Job summary 



We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Project Manager to take over and manage an ongoing security-related project. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in managing projects. This role is contract-based and requires a professional who can seamlessly integrate into an active project, ensuring its successful completion on time and within budget.



Key Responsibilities




  • Review the current project scope, status, and deliverables to ensure a smooth transition.

  • Coordinate all project activities to ensure milestones and deadlines are met.

  • Ensure compliance with international and local regulations, including end-user certification and exportation licensing requirements.

  • Oversee the preparation, review, and management of letters of credit and shipping documentation.

  • Ensure all documentation complies with customs and supply chain regulations.

  • Work closely with relevant regulatory bodies and stakeholders to address any compliance issues.

  • Manage supply chain operations, including procurement, shipment tracking, and delivery timelines.

  • Liaise with customs officials and freight forwarders to ensure timely clearance of goods and address any logistical challenges that may arise.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, clients, and team members.

  • Provide regular updates on project progress and address any issues promptly.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth operations.

  • Identify potential risks in documentation, shipping, or compliance processes.

  • Develop and implement mitigation strategies to address risks.

  • Monitor project expenditures and ensure the budget aligns with financial goals.

  • Seek approval from CEO for payments related to shipping, customs, and supply chain processes.



Qualifications




  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Business

  • Administration, or a related field.

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in managing projects involving shipping, customs, and supply chain operations.

  • In-depth knowledge of Letters of credit and financial documentation.

  • Experience in shipping documentation processes (e.g., bill of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists).

  • Experience in exportation licenses and end-user certification.

  • Experience in supply chain and customs regulations.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills to manage ongoing projects effectively.

  • Proficiency in project management and supply chain software/tools.

  • PMP or relevant certification is a plus.
