Job Summary:



We seek a self-starter with strong attention to detail and analytical skills to join our family office as a Finance Analyst. The Analyst will actively be involved and work across our various workstreams, including Real Estate, Agriculture, Oil and Gas, and Financial Services. The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support budgeting and forecasting activities. This position requires a strong foundation in accounting principles, financial analysis, and attention to detail. Your primary objective will be to maintain the financial integrity of our firm and portfolio companies through meticulous record-keeping and insightful financial reporting.



Working within our finance team, you'll gain comprehensive exposure to various aspects of financial accounting in a multi-entity environment. Success in this role requires a high degree of accuracy, proficiency in accounting software, and the ability to meet deadlines consistently. You'll be responsible for tasks such as processing payments, managing payroll, reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, and assisting with audits. The ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for management will be crucial.



Key Responsibilities:



Financial Operations:




  • Process bi-weekly payments and manage expense recording

  • Lead payroll operations for multiple entities, liaising with external consultants

  • Prepare monthly expenditure reports, manage document storage, and compile quarterly reports



Financial Analysis and Reporting:




  • Develop annual budgets and create cash flow statements as needed

  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports for portfolio companies



Treasury and Investment Management:




  • Oversee treasury operations, including cash position maintenance and foreign exchange management

  • Assist in managing external investments and identifying new investment opportunities



Strategic Development:




  • Work with partners to support the identification and development of new business lines.

  • Support company restructuring initiatives and manage company setup/wind-down processes



Asset Management:




  • Actively manage existing assets across the portfolio

  • Contribute to the sustained growth and value of the firm and portfolio companies



Budget Management:




  • Develop and track multiple budgets across a variety of sectors (finance, agriculture, real estate)

  • Track cash flows against budget, suggest improvements



Minimum Requirements:




  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred

  • Strong foundation in financial analysis, asset management, and business development

  • Excellent quantitative skills and proficiency in financial modeling

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Adaptability to manage varying workloads and priorities across multiple sectors

  • Exceptional communication skills for interacting with partners and stakeholders
