We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Analystto oversee and manage the financial operations of an energy sector firm.
Responsibilities
Oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with local regulations and international accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP).
Manage cost accounting and perform variance analysis to support operational decision-making.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, tax filings, and internal controls.
Prepare accurate and relevant project reports and investment appraisal for potential projects.
Familiarity with Petroleum Industry Act, Petroleum Profit Tax, and other industry-specific regulations
Provide commercial support to other departments and functions Procurement, Operations, BD, Maintenance, Projects, etc. as may be required
Developing budgets, monitoring expenditures, and providing financial forecasts.
Establishing processes to safeguard assets and ensure data accuracy.
Collaborating with leadership to guide financial decisions and business strategy.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is essential (CPA, ACCA, or CMA is a plus).
Proven experience (3+ years) in financial management in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations and controls, and reporting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems..
