Job Summary
- The Finance Officer is responsible for managing the company’s financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- This role involves budgeting, financial analysis, accounts management, and supporting strategic financial planning.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and statements in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Conduct variance analysis to compare budgeted vs. actual expenses.
- Ensure timely reconciliation of bank statements and financial transactions.
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
- Process and review invoices, payments, and expense claims.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions.
Taxation & Compliance:
- Ensure timely filing and remittance of tax obligations (PAYE, VAT, WHT, and corporate tax).
- Assist in audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
Cost Management & Risk Assessment:
- Analyze financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Monitor financial risks and suggest mitigation strategies.
- Ensure proper internal controls are implemented to safeguard company assets.
Payroll & Expense Management:
- Process payroll, ensuring accuracy in salary calculations, deductions, and statutory contributions.

Key Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related role.
- Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or CFA) is an added advantage.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or ERP systems).
- Advanced Excel skills and financial data analysis.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of tax laws and financial regulations.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilitie
