Job Description
Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Identify and establish relationships with farmers, agribusinesses, cooperatives, and distributors.
- Conduct field visits, product demonstrations, and farmer training sessions.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and agreements with clients and distributors.
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
Marketing & Promotion:
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns to promote agricultural products, such as fertilizers, pesticides, seeds, and farm equipment.
- Develop marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, and social media content.
- Organize and participate in agricultural trade fairs, exhibitions, and field days.
- Maintain an active social media and digital presence for brand awareness.
- Work with the research & development team to introduce innovative agricultural solutions to the market.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Provide after-sales support and technical advice to customers.
- Address customer queries and complaints effectively.
- Build long-term relationships with clients to enhance customer loyalty.
Market Research & Reporting:
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities.
- Analyze sales data and prepare reports for management.
- Provide insights on customer preferences and industry trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, Agribusiness, Marketing, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in agricultural sales & marketing preferred.
- Strong knowledge of agriculture, crop production, fertilizers, pesticides, and seeds.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and travel extensively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM software.
- A valid driver’s license is a plus.
