Job Summary




  • The Business Executive will play a key role in expanding business opportunities, driving sales growth, onboarding partners, and managing relationships with clients. This role requires strong negotiation skills, market research capabilities, and the ability to build strategic partnerships that contribute to business expansion and increased revenue.



Key Responsibilities



Sales & Business Growth




  • Drive sales and revenue growth for assigned product(s) (Electricity, VTU/Data, Betting, etc.).

  • Proactively engage with clients, respond to inquiries, and close sales to achieve monthly targets.

  • Research industry trends, identify new market opportunities, and develop strategies for business expansion.

  • Onboard a minimum of one active B2B partner weekly with a minimum turnover of N30 million.

  • Focus on selling APIs to high-transacting customers and researching leads on specified products.

  • Develop and execute product-based promotional strategies to boost transaction volumes (TPV).



Biller & B2B Partnerships




  • Identify, engage, and onboard new billers and B2B clients in line with company objectives.

  • Negotiate competitive commission rates and commercial agreements with partners.

  • Manage end-to-end onboarding processes, including documentation gathering and integration requirements.

  • Facilitate smooth communication between clients and internal teams, including Product Managers (PMs).

  • Provide high-quality client engagement through scheduled meetings and regular interactions.



Market Research & Strategy




  • Research and analyze standard product rates for effective negotiation.

  • Identify and onboard high-adoption betting products for revenue growth.

  • Gather and analyze client performance data to identify growth opportunities.

  • Cascade updates from billers to all partners and internal stakeholders.

  • Provide weekly sales reports and strategic roadmaps aligned with company objectives.



Client Engagement & Relationship Management




  • Maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and retention.

  • Organize and participate in client meetings, industry events, and networking activities.

  • Work closely with internal teams to address customer needs and optimize service delivery.



Key RequirementsEducation & Experience




  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.

  • 3-5 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or a similar role within the fintech, payments, or telecom industry.

  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.



Skills & Competencies




  • Strong sales and negotiation skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to analyze market trends and develop strategic sales plans.

  • Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to business expansion.
