Job Summary
- As a Van Sales Representative, you will drive a company van to visit customers, deliver products, and generate sales through direct interactions and order-taking.
- Your role involves building rapport with clients, promoting products, and achieving sales targets while ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Responsibilities
- Drive a company-owned van to assigned territories, routes, or customer locations to conduct sales visits and deliveries.
- Load and unload products from the van, ensuring accurate inventory counts and proper handling of goods.
- Establish and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers, addressing their needs and preferences to drive sales.
- Take orders from customers, process sales transactions, and issue receipts or invoices for purchases.
- Provide product recommendations, advice, and assistance to customers based on their requirements and preferences.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and inventory levels using sales software or databases.
- Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and challenges in the sales territory.
- Collaborate with sales managers, supervisors, and colleagues to coordinate sales activities, share insights, and develop strategies.
- Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and product knowledge sessions to stay updated on company offerings and sales techniques.
- Uphold company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all sales and customer interactions.
Requirements and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent education.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in a direct sales or van sales role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic mathematical skills for calculating prices, discounts, and order totals.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and carry merchandise.
- Adaptability and flexibility to work in diverse environments and handle various customer situations.
