Project Engineer to be responsible for all engineering support, develop technical designs/specifications, oversee construction and ensure compliance. You will schedule, plan, forecast, resource and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion.
Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Scheduling: Developing and implementing detailed project plans, including scope and schedule.
Budget Management: Monitoring project costs, tracking expenses, and ensuring adherence to the budget.
Resource Management: Overseeing the allocation and utilization of resources, including labor, materials, and equipment .
Quality Control: Ensuring that construction projects meet required quality standards and specifications.
Safety Compliance: Monitoring adherence to safety regulations and building codes.
Communication and Collaboration: Facilitating effective communication between stakeholders, including project managers, architects, contractors, and clients.
Progress Monitoring: Tracking project progress against the schedule, identifying potential delays, and implementing corrective actions.
Technical Support: Providing technical support to construction teams and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
Document Control: Managing and maintaining project documentation, including plans, specifications, and technical reports.
Problem Solving: identifying and addressing any technical issues or challenges that arise during the project.
Requirements:
Membership to a professional body (e.g., COREN)
Proficient in Engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, PROTA STRUCTURE, STAADPRO and Civil 3D).
Proven working experience as a Project Engineer.
Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards.
Ability to handle multiple projects.
