Job Description:




  • Project Engineer to be responsible for all engineering support, develop technical designs/specifications, oversee construction and ensure compliance. You will schedule, plan, forecast, resource and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion.



Responsibilities:




  • Project Planning and Scheduling: Developing and implementing detailed project plans, including scope and schedule.

  • Budget Management: Monitoring project costs, tracking expenses, and ensuring adherence to the budget.

  • Resource Management: Overseeing the allocation and utilization of resources, including labor, materials, and equipment .

  • Quality Control: Ensuring that construction projects meet required quality standards and specifications.

  • Safety Compliance: Monitoring adherence to safety regulations and building codes.

  • Communication and Collaboration: Facilitating effective communication between stakeholders, including project managers, architects, contractors, and clients.

  • Progress Monitoring: Tracking project progress against the schedule, identifying potential delays, and implementing corrective actions.

  • Technical Support: Providing technical support to construction teams and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Document Control: Managing and maintaining project documentation, including plans, specifications, and technical reports.

  • Problem Solving: identifying and addressing any technical issues or challenges that arise during the project.



Requirements:




  • Membership to a professional body (e.g., COREN)

  • Proficient in Engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, PROTA STRUCTURE, STAADPRO and Civil 3D).

  • Proven working experience as a Project Engineer.

  • Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects.



Skills:




  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Experience: Relevant experience in construction industry/projects, preferably with increasing responsibility.

  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction principles, practices, and regulations.

  • Technical expertise and detail-oriented
