Job Summary:
Our client in the health sector is looking for a strategic and compassionate HR Manager to lead the Human Resources department in our hospital. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end HR functions including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, labor law compliance, training, and staff welfare, with a focus on supporting clinical and non-clinical teams in delivering excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and strategies aligned with hospital goals and healthcare regulations.
- Lead recruitment and onboarding of qualified medical, technical, and administrative staff.
- Handle employee relations, grievances, and conflict resolution with empathy and professionalism.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, healthcare regulations, and accreditation standards (e.g., JCI, NHIA).
- Oversee payroll, employee benefits, leave administration, and HRIS database management.
- Coordinate training, continuous medical education , and professional development programs.
- Implement performance management systems and conduct periodic performance appraisals.
- Promote employee engagement and staff well-being initiatives to maintain a healthy work environment.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs and workforce planning.
- Maintain proper documentation for audits, regulatory inspections, and accreditation purposes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree or HR certifications such as CIPM, SHRM, or CIPD is an added advantage).
- Minimum of 4 years of HR experience, preferably in the healthcare or hospital sector.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR best practices, and healthcare compliance standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive issues with confidentiality and discretion.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience working in a hospital or healthcare organization.
- Familiarity with hospital licensing and accreditation processes.
- Strong crisis management and problem-solving skills.
