The Finance Officer will be responsible for managing treasury operations, executing trades, and conducting market research across commodity and financial markets.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in finance or capital markets, hands-on experience in trade execution, and be comfortable with financial modeling and analysis. A CFA or CFI certification is highly desirable.
This role supports the finance and trading teams in driving accurate reporting, market intelligence, and effective financial planning.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily finance operations including budgeting, reconciliations, and cash flow forecasting.
Prepare timely and accurate financial reports and cash flow statements.
Execute trades on broker platforms in line with approved strategies.
Maintain and reconcile trade records; ensure proper settlement with brokers and clearinghouses.
Conduct technical and fundamental market analysis using tools like Bloomberg and Refinitiv.
Monitor global economic indicators and geopolitical developments affecting commodity pricing.
Develop and maintain financial models and performance dashboards.
Support hedging and risk management strategies using futures or forward contracts.
Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and external regulations.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners (brokers, banks, vendors) for smooth operations.
Assist in audits, documentation, and strategic financial planning.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in financial analysis, trade execution, or commodity market research.
CFA or CFI certification is highly desirable.
Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
Experience using Bloomberg, Refinitiv, or similar financial data platforms.
Familiarity with ERP or accounting software is an advantage.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
