Job Summary




  • We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accountant who will be responsible for managing financial records, reconciling accounts, and performing regular inventory audits.

  • The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting skills, with experience in inventory management and internal controls to ensure accuracy and accountability of stock and financial data.



Key Responsibilities

Accounting Functions:




  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

  • Manage accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations.

  • Monitor and report on cash flow and financial performance.

  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, regulations, and statutory reporting.

  • Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.

  • Coordinate with external auditors during audits.



Inventory Audit & Control:




  • Conduct regular and surprise inventory audits at warehouse(s), factory, and retail outlets.

  • Reconcile inventory records with physical counts and investigate discrepancies.

  • Maintain accurate records of inventory movements (receipts, issues, adjustments).

  • Evaluate stock valuation methods and ensure proper costing practices.

  • Monitor inventory aging and report obsolete/slow-moving stock.

  • Recommend improvements to inventory control processes and procedures.

  • Work closely with the store/warehouse team to ensure system and physical alignment



Qualifications & Experience




  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Professional certification (e.g., ICAN,ACA, ACCA) is an added advantage.

  • Minimum of 1–2years’ accounting experience.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and inventory management systems.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, ERP systems).

  • Excellent MS Excel skills.
