Job Summary




  • We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to oversee and manage all financial operations within our upstream oil and gas business.

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, cost control, and regulatory compliance specific to exploration and production (E&P) activities.



Key Responsibilities




  • Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and industry standards.

  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for exploration and production projects.

  • Monitor project and operational costs, ensuring cost control measures are in place and adhered to.

  • Analyze financial performance and provide insights and recommendations to executive management.

  • Ensure compliance with local tax laws, regulatory reporting requirements, and industry-specific financial obligations (e.g., royalties, PSCs, JV accounting).

  • Liaise with auditors, regulators, and financial institutions as required.

  • Support contract and procurement teams in financial analysis for vendor agreements and service contracts.

  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditure planning.

  • Oversee the finance team and ensure accurate bookkeeping and timely reporting.

  • Evaluate financial risks and implement risk mitigation strategies.



Requirements




  • B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).

  • Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, or CPA is required.

  • 5years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in upstream oil & gas or E&P operations.

  • Strong knowledge of oil & gas accounting, Joint Venture (JV) accounting, and Production Sharing Contracts (PSC).

  • Excellent proficiency in financial modeling, analysis, and reporting tools (Excel, ERP systems).

  • Familiarity with SAP, QuickBooks, or other oil and gas accounting systems is a plus.

  • Strong attention to detail, leadership skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Preferably female Applicant.
