We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Research Analyst to support our finance and investment decision-making processes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting in-depth financial research, analyzing market trends, and generating insights that will guide strategic planning, budgeting, and investment activities.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with prospective clients and promoting the company’s products.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong quantitative background and a keen interest in economic and financial data.
Responsibilities
Conduct market and industry research to support investment decisions and financial planning.
Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive activities.
Analyze financial data and trends to identify potential risks and opportunities.
Prepare detailed reports, forecasts, and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
Track performance of financial instruments, portfolios, or business units.
Use data-driven insight to develop sales strategies and improve performance.
Oversee the full sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals and maintaining client relationships.
Develop strategic partnerships, alliances, and business relationships to drive new revenue streams.
Provide regular reports on sales activities, pipeline progress, and client feedback.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Accounts, business development, credit) to provide data-driven insights.
Requirements & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, or a related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage).
2+ years of experience in financial research, investment analysis, or related roles.
Deep operations experience of microfinance banking (minimum of 4 years' experience)
Strong analytical skills.
Proven track record of driving revenue growth and meeting/exceeding targets.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
Familiarity with industry trends, market research, and competitive analysis.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
