Job Summary




  • The successful candidate will assist licensed nurses with patient care, perform various administrative tasks, and provide support to ensure the smooth operation of our healthcare facility.



Key Responsibilities

Patient Care:




  • Assist licensed nurses with vital signs, bathing, dressing, and feeding patients.

  • Help patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning.

  • Assist with range-of-motion exercises and other therapeutic interventions.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, reports, and charts.

  • Assist with data entry, filing, and other administrative tasks as needed.



Support Services:




  • Restock supplies, linens, and equipment as needed.

  • Assist with maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and safety protocols.



Communication and Teamwork:




  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

  • Collaborate with licensed nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.

  • Participate in shift reports, care conferences, and other team meetings.



Requirements

Education and Training:




  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • 2 - 8 years of work experience.

  • Completion of a nurse assistant training program or equivalent experience.



Skills and Abilities:




  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Compassion, empathy, and patience when interacting with patients and families.

  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn electronic medical records (EMRs) systems.



Physical Demands:




  • Ability to lift, push, and pull patients, equipment, and supplies as needed.

  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods.

  • Ability to work in a variety of settings, including patient rooms, treatment areas, and administrative offices.
