Position Overview




  • The role provides strategic employee engagement support, localized HR operations, and proactive workforce relations management across operational sites in Maiduguri and Challawa.

  • The Employee Care Specialist will serve as atrusted HR liaisonwithin the region, delivering people-focused solutions, resolving employee issues, and ensuring HR strategies are implemented with full sensitivity to local context and cultural dynamics.



Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations & Workforce Support:




  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all employee care issues, ensuring swift and confidential resolution of grievances, interpersonal conflicts, or welfare concerns.

  • Promote aculture of trust and fairnessby reinforcing employee engagement initiatives, values-driven communication, and feedback mechanisms across the sites.

  • Mediate conflict resolution and escalate complex cases in alignment with internal policies and statutory provisions.



Regional HR Operations:




  • Provide on-ground support in implementing corporate HR policies, employee programs, and disciplinary procedures in alignment with national labour laws and organizational standards.

  • Monitor employee attendance, welfare, safety concerns, and local morale—reporting patterns that require management intervention.

  • Support the HRBP and Plant HR in deploying staff communications, engagement surveys, and reward recognition campaigns.



Strategic HR Alignment:




  • Collaborate with functional leaders to identify region-specific workforce challenges and deploy actionable HR interventions.

  • Support leadership teams inchange management processes, workforce realignment, or union negotiations as necessary.

  • Champion employee onboarding, exit interviews, and feedback loops to optimize employee lifecycle experience in the region.



Required Qualifications




  • Bachelor’s Degree inHuman Resources, Industrial Relations, Sociology, Psychology, or related discipline.

  • Minimum of 2–3 years’ experiencein HR, employee relations, or workforce engagement, preferably in FMCG or manufacturing.

  • Prior exposure toregional workforce management in Northern Nigeriais strongly preferred.

  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Fluency inHausa and/or Kanuriwill be considered a major advantage for community integration.
