Role Summary
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facility Manager to oversee the day-to-day management, maintenance, and operational efficiency of all physical infrastructure and support services within the pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.
- This role is critical in ensuring a safe, functional, and compliant plant environment that enables uninterrupted operations and supports staff well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee routine and preventive maintenance of all facility infrastructure, including plumbing, lighting, fire systems, utilities, and staff amenities.
- Ensure optimal performance and availability of non-production utilities such as generators, compressors, water systems, and fuel supply.
- Coordinate with engineering, security, and support teams to maintain seamless plant operations.
- Manage janitorial services, waste disposal, fumigation, pest control, landscaping, and hygiene across the facility.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of staff areas including restrooms, canteen, changing rooms, and break areas.
- Maintain accurate documentation of facility inspections, utilities usage, maintenance logs, and contractor activity.
- Ensure full compliance with internal SOPs, safety protocols, and external regulatory standards (e.g., NAFDAC, NESREA, Fire Service).
- Support audit preparedness and provide facility-related records and reports as required.
- Manage outsourced service providers, enforce SLAs, supervise facility support staff, and oversee contractor adherence to plant safety policies.
- Monitor facility-related expenses, handle procurement needs, and contribute to budget planning and reporting.
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Estate Management, Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in facility or general services management, preferably within a regulated manufacturing environment (pharma/FMCG).
- NEBOSH or HSE certification is an added advantage
- Membership in a facility management professional body is an added advantage.
