Job Description

Summary

  • Are you passionate about sales, B2B relationship building, and financial inclusion in the healthcare sector?

  • We’re hiring a Business Development Officer to drive growth across our pharmaceutical loan portfolio.

  • In this role, you'll build and manage a high-converting sales pipeline by identifying and acquiring pharmacies, distributors, and health-focused businesses, while also exploring opportunities to serve pharmacy staff with tailored personal loan products.

  • If you thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment and understand how pharmacies operate, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive B2B acquisition by identifying and onboarding pharmacies, medical stores, and pharmaceutical distributors in need of business loans.

  • Pitch and sell loan products to both business owners and, where applicable, their employees (e.g., pharmacists and pharmacy staff).

  • Conduct needs-based analysis and recommend suitable financial solutions aligned with business growth goals.

  • Build strong, trust-based relationships that lead to repeat business and referrals.

  • Execute end-to-end sales activities: lead generation, cold outreach, field visits, onboarding, documentation, and disbursement support.

  • Collaborate closely with credit, risk, and collections teams to ensure loan quality and timely repayment.

  • Track and manage your sales, and deliver weekly performance updates and market intelligence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or HND / OND in Business, Marketing, Pharmacology, Finance, or related field.

  • 1 - 3 years of experience in sales, B2B marketing, pharmaceutical field work, or SME lending.

  • Strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical ecosystem and how retail pharmacies operate.

  • Results-oriented mindset with a proven ability to meet or exceed monthly targets.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

  • Comfortable working independently and in the field.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in pharmaceutical sales, loan sales, or fintech lending.

  • A personal network within the pharmaceutical space.
