Job Summary:



As the Event & Catering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of all catering and event services for clients. You will serve as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met while delivering seamless, high-quality events. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects from start to finish.



Key Responsibilities:



Client & Event Management:




  • Liaise with clients to understand their event needs and expectations

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute events including corporate functions, weddings, private parties, and more

  • Conduct site visits, propose catering packages, and create customized solutions

  • Maintain excellent client relationships and follow up post-event for feedback



Team Coordination & Execution:




  • Work closely with chefs, kitchen staff, service teams, and external vendors to ensure smooth event execution

  • Manage event staff schedules, delegate responsibilities, and supervise on-site operations

  • Ensure timely delivery, setup, and breakdown of catering materials and equipment



Budget & Logistics:




  • Prepare and manage event budgets, invoices, and supplier payments

  • Track event costs and optimize resources to ensure profitability

  • Ensure all logistics—from rentals to décor—are coordinated and aligned with client expectations



Quality Control & Standards:




  • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and service delivery

  • Handle client complaints or issues with professionalism and swift resolution

  • Ensure compliance with food safety, health regulations, and internal SOPs



Requirements & Skills:




  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Event Management, or a related field

  • 3+ years experience in event management or catering services

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and multitasking abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with event or CRM software is a plus

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as needed



Preferred Qualities:




  • Experience working in a hospitality, or event production company

  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset

  • Creative thinker with the ability to tailor experiences to diverse client needs
