Job Summary
- The Office Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, hygienic, and orderly environment in office spaces.
- This role includes daily cleaning duties such as dusting, vacuuming, emptying trash bins, and cleaning restrooms, ensuring a safe and pleasant work environment for staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish office floors and carpets.
- Dust and wipe down desks, tables, shelves, windows, and office equipment.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies (soap, tissue, etc.).
- Empty trash bins and replace liners in all office areas.
- Clean kitchen and break room areas including counters, appliances, and sinks.
- Ensure all cleaning materials and equipment are used and stored properly.
- Notify management of any damage or required repairs.
- Follow health and safety regulations and cleaning procedures.
- Lock up and secure areas as needed after cleaning (where applicable).
Qualifications and Skills
- Candidates should possess an SSCE / GCE / NECO / NCE / OND qualification.
- Proven experience as a cleaner or janitor (preferred).
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Good physical condition and stamina.
- Attention to detail and thoroughness.
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
- Trustworthy and reliable.
Work Environment:
- Indoor office setting; may involve some bending, lifting, and extended periods on feet.
