As the Finance Manager, you will be the financial architect of Trip-Ease, responsible for establishing a robust financial foundation that can support aggressive growth and prepare us for future funding rounds. You will manage all financial operations, from budgeting and forecasting to investor relations and compliance. This is a critical leadership role for a professional who is ready to own the financial trajectory of a fast-moving startup.

Salary: ₦350,000/month



Location: Lagos (Hybrid transitioning to On-site)



Experience Level: Mid-Senior (4-5 years)



What You'll Be Accountable For: Key Responsibilities:



Financial Operations & Control (40%)




  • Implement financial systems and controls appropriate for tech startup scaling

  • Manage monthly budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis against operational budget

  • Oversee accounts payable/receivable, including transport operator revenue sharing

  • Establish financial controls for multi-party payment processing (users, operators, platform)

  • Implement expense management and cost optimization strategies



Fundraising & Investor Relations (25%)




  • Prepare comprehensive financial models for Seed/Series A fundraising

  • Create investor-ready financial reports, metrics dashboards, and due diligence materials

  • Support CEO in investor presentations and financial projections

  • Maintain cap table and equity management systems

  • Coordinate with legal counsel on funding documentation



Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management (20%)




  • Ensure compliance with Nigerian financial regulations and tax requirements

  • Manage relationships with banks, payment processors (Paystack, Flutterwave)

  • Implement internal controls for financial risk management

  • Coordinate external audits and regulatory filings

  • Establish insurance coverage and risk mitigation strategies



Strategic Financial Analysis (15%)




  • Develop unit economics models for different transport partnerships

  • Analyze customer acquisition costs, lifetime value, and contribution margins

  • Provide financial analysis supporting expansion decisions and pricing strategies

  • Create financial projections for different growth scenarios

  • Support strategic decision-making with data-driven financial insights



What We're Looking For: Required Qualifications




  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; professional certifications (ICAN, ACCA) preferred

  • 4-5 years finance experience with at least 2 years in startup or high-growth environment

  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian financial regulations and tax requirements

  • Experience with financial modeling, budgeting, and investor reporting

  • Proficiency in financial software and Excel/Google Sheets advanced functions



Preferred Qualifications




  • Previous fintech or payments industry experience

  • Experience with venture capital fundraising processes

  • Familiarity with SaaS/platform business model unit economics

  • CPA or equivalent professional certification

  • Experience with multi-party payment processing and revenue sharing models
