Responsibilities



Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):




  • Develop and maintain financial models to forecast future performance .

  • Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insightful commentary on variances .

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements .

  • Conduct variance analysis to explain differences between actual results and budget/forecast .

  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial strategies .

  • Perform profitability analysis by product, customer, or segment.

  • Evaluate investment opportunities and capital expenditure requests.



Budgeting & Forecasting:




  • Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads .

  • Develop and maintain budget templates and guidelines. Manage variance .

  • Monitor budget performance and identify areas for improvement .

  • Prepare rolling forecasts to provide updated projections of future performance.



Financial Reporting:




  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting .

  • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and other accounting records .

  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP (or other relevant accounting standards).

  • Coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process.



Internal Controls & Compliance:




  • Maintain and improve internal controls to safeguard company assets .

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting regulations and tax laws .

  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures .

  • Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies.



Team Leadership & Management:




  • Supervise and mentor a team of financial analysts or accountants (depending on the size of the organization).

  • Provide guidance and support to team members  .

  • Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs .

  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
