Role Summary
- The Finance Associate is responsible for daily financial operations, including bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, managing accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll, and maintaining accurate financial records in line with accounting standards.
- The ideal candidate ensures financial integrity, supports reporting, and contributes to improved financial efficiency within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement accounting standards and internal policies to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Process and report on vendor bills, administrative expenses, and payments via bank platforms and QuickBooks.
- Issue invoices, process client receipts, and reconcile customer accounts.
- Process payroll and statutory deductions; prepare payslips and tax forms.
- Participate in end-to-end accounting workflow, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and accurate financial transaction records.
- Support monthly and annual budget preparation; conduct periodic variance analysis.
- Manage banking relationships and payment systems, including foreign currency transactions.
- Maintain the company’s asset and depreciation register.
- Verify supporting documents for expense transactions, ensuring full financial traceability.
- Prepare for and support periodic audits to maintain audit-ready records.
- Ensure optimal use of accounting systems and maintain a clean, error-free chart of accounts.
- Recommend and adopt process improvements to enhance financial operations.
- Perform other finance-related duties as assigned.
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 3 years proven bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in design, architecture, construction, or manufacturing environments.
- Must be well-experienced with QuickBooks.
- Advanced MS Excel capabilities, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.
- Full ICAN/ACCA membership is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of tax laws and financial regulatory compliance.
Salary
N185,000 - N244,000 / Month.
