Job Details
- To manage the stock-control and inventory systems.
- To assume general responsibility for the financial records.
- To create journal entries and make account balance adjustments to properly reflect the financial statements of the business
- To create bank reconciliations by checking account balances against bank statements to ensure accuracy.
- To create financial reports in compliance with government accounting laws, including monthly statements and annual audits.
- To examine budgets and create projections of upcoming costs using data from the past or other accessible sources.
- To make suggestions for modifications to accounting practices and regulations to increase the accuracy of financial records.
- To assist in the determination of which accounts should be entered into the system initially to promote correct record keeping.
- To estimate tax obligations for individuals and businesses in accordance with state and federally enacted legislation.
- To help to identify which accounts should be recorded first in order to facilitate accurate record keeping.
- To calculate tax liabilities for businesses and individuals based on laws implemented by the federal government and state agencies.
- To process payroll for all employees using automated software programs or manual methods.
- To monitor cash flow and identify any potential problems in advance so that corrective action can be taken before an issue arises.
