Location: Mainland, Lagos 



Job Description




  • Daily call over of previous days transactions for accuracy & completeness

  • Supervision of Treasury, payments, receivable & payables activities

  • Ensuring regular (at least monthly) proofs are prepared for staff advances, prepayments, intercompany accounts, etc

  • Ensuring receivable accounts are accurate and reconciled at least once a month with marketers

  • GL maintenance - account opening, mapping etc

  • Management of statutory audits ensuring timely provision of required schedules and supporting documents

  • Prepare Monthly Management account

  • Prepare and present to Management Monthly Performance Report

  • Review and sign off of weekly/ monthly reconciliation of bank accounts, ensuring all open items are cleared promptly

  • Ensuring fixed assets register/ records are kept up to date and depreciation entries captured on Sage before the end of the month

  • Ensure unpaid but committed expenses are accrued for appropriately

  • Monitor and manage long-term and short-term loans and liabilities to ensure that the company’s liquidity is planned to meet obligations

  • Review bank interest, fees & commissions to ensure charges and interest rates are in agreement with agreed terms

  • Staff supervision, training, development & knowledge sharing

  • Ensure compliance with all tax deadlines - state & federal.



Requirements




  • BSc Degree in Accounting

  • Professional qualification in Accounting (ICAN, ACCA)

  • 4 years post qualification experience as a professional accountant

  • Previously worked in a manufacturing sector will be an added advantage.
