- The Finance Manager (Nigeria) is responsible for leading and managing all financial operations within the Nigerian business, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial analysis that supports sustainable growth and profitability of the Nigerian subsidiary
Roles and Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Accounting:
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing for the Nigeria entity.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and FIRS/state-level reporting rules.
- Manage the general ledger, reconciliations, and financial documentation.
- Prepare management accounts and variance reports for the Group.
Financial Planning, Analysis & Budgeting:
- Lead annual budgeting and re-forecast cycles for Nigeria.
- Build financial models, margin analysis, and scenario planning.
- Track performance KPIs and investigate key variances.
- Advise on cost efficiency and profitability levers.
Treasury & Cash Management:
- Optimize cash flow, working capital, and liquidity for Nigeria.
- Oversee bank relationships, payments, and treasury operations.
- Monitor trade receivables, credit exposure, and collection efficiency.
Tax & Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure timely filing of VAT, WHT, PAYE, CIT and other Nigeria-specific taxes.
- Serve as primary contact for FIRS audits and compliance matters.
- Implement internal control frameworks to reduce risk.
Business Support & Strategy:
- Partner with operations to improve cost discipline and operational efficiency.
- Conduct financial feasibility studies and investment appraisals.
- Provide financial insights to country leadership and operations.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise accountants and finance officers in Nigeria.
- Build capability through coaching and continuous training.
- Strengthen SOPs, policies, and finance processes.

- SG&A efficiency and cost reduction
- Accuracy of forecast vs actual
- Audit outcomes and compliance score
- Quality of financial analysis & reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- ACA/ACCA or equivalent professional certification (mandatory).
- 5–8 years of progressive finance experience in Nigeria.
- Experience with Odoo ERP is an advantage.
- Ability to work in high-growth, fast-paced environments.
