Job Summary
The Branch Manager will be responsible for driving business growth, ensuring operational excellence, managing risk and compliance, and delivering exceptional customer service within the branch. The successful candidate must have strong leadership ability, sound knowledge of microfinance operations, and a proven track record in business development and credit management.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive deposit mobilization and loan portfolio growth in line with approved targets
- Develop and implement branch business strategies and marketing initiatives
- Supervise branch staff and ensure high performance standards
- Oversee credit appraisal, loan disbursement, monitoring, and recovery processes
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal control policies
- Manage branch profitability and cost efficiency
- Maintain strong customer relationships and community engagement
- Prepare and submit periodic performance and regulatory reports
Requirements
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Banking & Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related discipline
- Minimum of 5–8 years’ experience in banking, with at least 3 years in a managerial role (preferably in a Microfinance Bank)
- Strong knowledge of microfinance operations, credit analysis, and risk management
- Proven ability to meet deposit mobilization and loan targets
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong understanding of CBN guidelines and regulatory compliance for MFBs
- Professional certifications (e.g., MCIB, ACA, ACCA) will be an added advantage
