Job Summary
The National Sales Manager (NSM) is responsible for developing and executing the company’s nationwide sales strategy to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and strengthen customer relationships. The role requires strong leadership of regional sales teams, deep understanding of distribution networks, and hands-on experience in selling manufactured products across diverse markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive national sales strategy aligned with company objectives.
- Drive revenue growth and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Manage and supervise regional and area sales managers across the country.
- Expand distribution channels, including wholesalers, distributors, and key accounts.
- Identify new market opportunities and penetrate untapped regions.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer demands to inform strategy.
- Oversee pricing strategies, promotions, and product positioning.
- Ensure efficient product availability and distribution across all regions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and partners.
- Collaborate with production and supply chain teams to ensure demand forecasting and product availability.
- Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis to management.
- Drive brand visibility and coordinate sales campaigns and activations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, credit controls, and payment collections.
- Recruit, train, and mentor sales team members to enhance performance.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5–10 years’ experience in sales, preferably within a manufacturing company.
- Proven track record of managing nationwide sales operations and achieving targets.
- Experience in managing distributors, wholesalers, and large retail networks.
- Strong understanding of FMCG or plastic/consumer goods market is an added advantage.
Key Requirements
- Must be fluent in English, Hausa, and Yoruba (spoken and written).
- Strong knowledge of the Nigerian market and regional sales dynamics.
- Ability to travel extensively across the country.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and CRM/sales management software.
