Job Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Human Resource Officer at Pershing Hills Elementary. The Human Resource Officer plays a critical role in ensuring the effective management of our school's human capital. This position is responsible for overseeing various HR functions to support the school's mission and ensure a positive work environment.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs, manage the recruitment process, conduct interviews, and facilitate the onboarding of new employees.
- HR Policies and Compliance: Develop and implement HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations.
- Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries, address concerns, and facilitate conflict resolution as needed to maintain a positive work environment.
- Performance Management: Assist in the development and implementation of performance appraisal systems, including goal setting and performance improvement plans.
- Training and Development: Identify training needs, coordinate training programs, and support employee development initiatives.
- Benefits Administration: Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits.
- Records and Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and documentation, including contracts and personnel files.
- HR Reporting: Generate HR reports and metrics to support decision-making and provide insights into HR trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources management.
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Prior experience in an educational setting is a plus.
