Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Music Teacher to join our educational team in Benin City, Nigeria. As a Music Teacher, you will inspire and nurture students' musical abilities, fostering a love for music and helping them develop their skills across various instruments and vocal techniques.

• Develop and implement engaging music curriculum for students of different age groups and skill levels


• Teach music theory, history, and appreciation to enhance students' overall musical knowledge


• Provide individual and group instruction on various musical instruments and vocal techniques


• Organize and conduct school choirs, bands, and orchestras for performances and competitions


• Plan and coordinate music events, recitals, and concerts throughout the academic year


• Assess and evaluate students' musical progress, providing constructive feedback and support


• Maintain a well-organized and safe learning environment for all music classes


• Stay updated on current music education trends and incorporate new teaching methods as appropriate


• Promote the importance of music education within the school community

Qualifications

• 
  

  Bachelor's degree in Music Education or a related field

  
  


• Professional at music Instruments (violin, piano, trumpet, saxophone e.t.c)


• Proven experience as a Music Teacher in a school or private setting


• Proficiency in multiple musical instruments and strong vocal abilities


• In-depth knowledge of music theory, history, and various genres and styles


• Experience in conducting choirs, bands, or orchestras


• Excellent classroom management and organizational skills


• Strong curriculum development and lesson planning abilities


• Familiarity with music technology and relevant software


• Patient and supportive teaching approach with the ability to adapt to different learning styles


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• Creativity in designing engaging and interactive music lessons


• Familiarity with Nigerian music and cultural traditions is highly desirable
