Job Description
- To provide support in implementing and managing human resource systems and procedures to promote an employee- oriented, high-performance culture within GZI.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Supports the development Of GZl's HR strategy by identifying and researching Human
- Resources issues. Implements and monitors the effectiveness Of GZl's HR Strategy.
- Ensures the effective implementation of HR procedures and policies.
- This includes policies relating to Recruitment and Selection, Compensation, Performance Management, Training and Development, Employee Welfare, Succession Planning, Retention, Labour Relations, etc.
- Supports operational HR activities relating to Employee Engagement, Succession planning, Performance Management, Compensation, HR Information Systems (HRIS), etc.
- Assists the HR manager in overseeing grievance handling and disciplinary procedures within GZI.
- provides support to the Manager, Talent Management & Organization Effectiveness in carrying out Talent Management activities and processes within GZI.
This includes Talent
- Acquisition, Orientation, Training and Development, Performance Management, etc.
- Keeps all employees informed of key organization issues, HR policies and procedures.
- Manages all employee and employer related issues and ensures no litigations or any such associated issues arise for GZI.
- Manages all disciplinary and grievance issues for complete resolution.
- Implements effective conflict management processes and ensures an atmosphere of cordiality.
- Ensures GZl's HR/people Management practices comply with Federal, State, and local legislation.
- Assists the HRM in maintaining the relationship between GZI and its host communities.
- Interfaces regularly with union representatives.
- Ensures prompt resolution of any issues or conflict with the union.
Required Education/ Qualification
- Minimum of HND or First Degree in Human Resources or a related social science discipline
- Relevant certification from a reputable professional institution e.g. CIPM, CIPD, SHRM
- An MBA or Masters in a relevant discipline would be an added advantage
- At least 5 years post-qualification experience in the manufacturing industry
