Key Responsibilities

Social Media Management (End-to-End Ownership):

  • The manager is responsible for planning, creating, scheduling, publishing, and monitoring content across all Stella Maris social platforms.

  • Platforms to manage (non-negotiable):

    • Instagram (Main School Account)

    • Instagram (Campus-specific pages, where applicable)

    • Facebook (School & Campus pages)

    • X (Twitter)

    • LinkedIn (Corporate / Professional presence)

    • YouTube (Shorts + long-form school content)

    • TikTok (if approved by management)

    • WhatsApp Broadcast / Community (content input, not admin)

  • Responsibilities include:

    • Monthly content calendar (submitted ahead of time, not reactive)

    • Daily/weekly posting based on approved schedule

    • Captions, hashtags, tone, CTA — aligned with brand voice

    • Parent-facing content (events, reminders, achievements)

    • Student-focused but school-approved storytelling

    • Monitoring comments, messages, and escalation where needed

    • Ensuring zero “dead” platforms or outdated posts

Content Creation & Creative Direction:

  • You are not a graphic designer, but you own the output.

  • This means:

    • Conceptualizing content ideas (campaigns, series, themes)

    • Writing strong copy (not lazy captions)

  • Working with:

    • Photographers

    • Videographers

    • Graphic designers

    • Reviewing and approving creatives before posting

    • Ensuring all visuals align with Stella Maris branding (colors, tone, quality)

  • Content types include:

    • School events

    • Academic achievements

    • Staff highlights

    • Student activities (approved)

    • Admissions campaigns

    • Announcements & notices

    • Milestones & celebrations

    • Values, culture, and legacy storytelling

Website Content & Updates (With IT):

  • This role does not code, but owns content accuracy.

  • Responsibilities:

    • Updating website content (text, images, announcements)

    • Working with IT to upload:

      • News items

      • Event updates

      • Admissions information

      • Notices and announcements

      • Flagging outdated pages and fixing them

      • Ensuring consistency between website and social messaging

      • Testing links, pages, and visibility after updates.

Newsletter & Official Communications:

  • You are responsible for structured, professional communications, not random blasts.

  • Includes:

    • Internal newsletters (staff-facing, when required)

    • External newsletters (parents, partners, alumni)

    • Admissions campaigns & announcements

    • Event communications

    • End-of-term / special updates

  • Tasks:

    • Drafting content

    • Structuring messaging clearly

    • Coordinating approvals

    • Scheduling sends

    • Ensuring tone matches audience (parents ≠ staff ≠ external partners)

Parent-Facing Content Strategy:

  • Parents are not an afterthought — they are a primary audience.

  • You must:

    • Proactively create content parents care about

    • Anticipate school calendar moments

    • Reduce confusion through clear digital communication

    • Align with Admin / Admissions on messaging

    • Ensure deadlines, notices, and updates are communicated before complaints arise

Digital Marketing & Campaign Execution

  • This role supports growth and visibility, not vibes.

  • Responsibilities:

    • Planning digital campaigns (admissions, events, milestones)

    • Scheduling posts and ads ahead of time

    • Supporting paid ads (copy + creative coordination)

    • Tracking basic performance (reach, engagement, growth)

    • Improving content strategy based on results

  • Planning, Scheduling & Deadlines (Non-Negotiable)

  • You are expected to:

    • Work ahead (minimum 2–4 weeks planned content)

    • Meet deadlines without reminders

    • Submit calendars, drafts, and creatives on time

    • Coordinate dependencies early (IT, Design, Media).

Collaboration & Cross-Department Work:

  • You will work with:

    • IT (uploads, site updates)

    • Admin & Admissions (notices, campaigns)

    • Media & Design vendors

    • School leadership

  • You are expected to:

    • Communicate clearly

    • Follow instructions

    • Take ownership, not wait to be chased

Brand Protection & Quality Control:

  • You are a gatekeeper.

  • You must:

    • Protect Stella Maris’ brand reputation

    • Avoid low-quality, rushed, or unapproved content

    • Ensure spelling, grammar, tone, and accuracy

    • Maintain consistency across all channels

Additional Duties:

  • Any other digital communications or content-related task reasonably assigned by management

  • Crisis or urgent communications support when required

  • Supporting special projects, launches, or campaigns

Requirements

  • Strong writing and communication skills

  • Proven social media management experience (schools or institutions preferred)

  • Content planning and campaign execution ability

  • Attention to detail (non-negotiable)

  • Ability to meet deadlines without supervision

  • Ability to work with creatives and technical teams

  • Professional judgment and maturity

  • Experience with design and content tools (e.g., Canva) is an advantage

  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child-protection standards is an added advantage

Performance Expectations

  • Platforms are active, consistent, and aligned

  • Content is planned, not reactive

  • Parents are informed, not confused

  • Website is accurate, not outdated

  • Deadlines are met without reminders

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary

  • Supportive and professional work environment

  • Opportunity to contribute meaningfully to school growth and community engagement
