Job Purpose
The Case Management Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the delivery of quality case management services, ensuring adherence to protection principles, and providing technical guidance and supervision to case workers to support vulnerable individuals.
Key Responsibilities
Supervision and Team Management
- Provide technical supervision and mentorship to case workers
- Conduct regular case reviews and supervision sessions
- Monitor staff performance and provide feedback and capacity building
- Ensure staff adhere to case management guidelines and SOPs
Case Management Oversight
- Ensure safe, ethical, and confidential handling of cases
- Review and approve case plans, referrals, and closures
- Monitor case progress and ensure timely follow-up
- Support complex or high-risk cases
Protection and Safeguarding
- Ensure compliance with protection principles (confidentiality, do no harm, best interest)
- Strengthen adherence to PSEA and safeguarding policies
- Ensure appropriate referral pathways are in place and utilized
Coordination and Referral Systems
- Coordinate with service providers and partners (health, legal, psychosocial services)
- Maintain updated referral pathways and service mapping
- Participate in coordination meetings and protection working groups
Reporting and Documentation
- Ensure accurate and timely case documentation and data entry
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports
- Monitor data quality and maintain secure filing systems
Capacity Building
- Identify training needs and support capacity development of case workers
- Facilitate trainings on case management tools and principles
Compliance and Quality Assurance
- Ensure adherence to organizational and donor requirements
- Conduct quality assurance checks on case files
- Support audits and evaluations
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, Psychology, Sociology, or related field
- Minimum of 3–5 years' experience in protection/case management
- Experience supervising teams in humanitarian or development settings
Key Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of case management principles and protection frameworks
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Good report writing and documentation skills
