Role Overview
- The Business Development / Relationship Manager is responsible for originating quality loan transactions and sourcing relationship-led deposits.
- The role focuses on building profitable borrower and depositor relationships while working closely with Credit and Treasury to ensure sound risk and liquidity management.
Key Responsibilities
Lending:
- Source and originate SME and corporate loan transactions
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of qualified borrowers
- Conduct initial client screening and documentation
- Maintain borrower relationships throughout the loan lifecycle
- Support loan monitoring and collections through relationship management
Deposits:
- Source corporate, SME, and HNI deposit relationships
- Manage depositor relationships and retention
- Liaise with Treasury on deposit structuring and renewals
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Banking, Marketing, or a related discipline
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g. ACIB, CIBN, MBA) are an added advantage
Experience:
- 8–12years’ experience in lending, relationship management, or financial services
- Proven SME / corporate business network in Lagos.
