Role Overview




  • The Business Development / Relationship Manager is responsible for originating quality loan transactions and sourcing relationship-led deposits.

  • The role focuses on building profitable borrower and depositor relationships while working closely with Credit and Treasury to ensure sound risk and liquidity management.



Key Responsibilities

Lending:




  • Source and originate SME and corporate loan transactions

  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of qualified borrowers

  • Conduct initial client screening and documentation

  • Maintain borrower relationships throughout the loan lifecycle

  • Support loan monitoring and collections through relationship management



Deposits:




  • Source corporate, SME, and HNI deposit relationships

  • Manage depositor relationships and retention

  • Liaise with Treasury on deposit structuring and renewals



Qualifications

Education:




  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Banking, Marketing, or a related discipline

  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g. ACIB, CIBN, MBA) are an added advantage



Experience:




  • 8–12years’ experience in lending, relationship management, or financial services

  • Proven SME / corporate business network in Lagos.
